There is nothing like the Holidays in New York. My family and I celebrated a wonderful Thanksgivika(!) last week and lit the Chanukah candles on William Goldberg Way. There was magic in the air on Wednesday evening as the Rockefeller Center tree was lit for the 81st time just around the corner from our offices. And, before we know it we’ll be watching the ball drop as we welcome 2014.

Because New Yorkers celebrate the holidays like nowhere else in the world, most of us will find ourselves with a bevy of invitations for parties nearly every weekday and week night (and let’s not forget champagne brunches on the weekends!). Much of the coverage you will see about holiday style in fashion magazines is about apparel that can transition you from day to night, blah blah blah. In my opinion, the focus should really be about the jewelry and rotating one or two smart pieces that will work for any fete you will be attending this year.
