Time Change

The first weekend in November is always a big one for New Yorkers, the city bursting with energy and excitement leading up to the New York City Marathon. Lucky for us - and the runners - we also gain an hour of sleep courtesy of Daylight Saving Time, which officially ends on Sunday, November 3 at 2:00 AM.

Since 2007, Daylight Saving Time (yes, the correct way to refer to it is time not times, a little known fact that I picked-up from a friend a few years back!) starts on the second Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November. Twice a year someone in our office is tasked with resetting our fabulous diamond timepieces either ahead an hour, or an hour back as is the case for this weekend.

Although William Goldberg is better known for our exceptional and rare diamond jewelry, our timepieces are equally as exquisite. In my opinion, there is nothing more elegant than a sophisticated diamond watch, a nice alternative for evening wear instead of a cuff or diamond line bracelet. One of my favorite looks to wear to dinner on a Saturday night is pairing my ASHOKA® pave watch (shown above) with a slim, YSL Le Smoking Tuxedo Jacket I invested in years ago and a great pair of jeans. I also suggest investing in a diamond watch to a lot of my bridal clients, which can be so chic when worn with a romantic, long sleeved lace gown like the Duchess of Cambridge chose for her wedding day.

In the spirit of Daylight Saving Time here is a round-up of my favorite William Goldberg and ASHOKA® timepieces. And, one last reminder...turn your clocks back one hour before bed on Saturday night!
